1.2m x 1.2m Fire Blanket
Product Details
Description
The 1.2m x 1.2m Fire Blanket is a simple yet highly effective fire safety device designed to smother small fires before they spread. Made from woven fibreglass fabric that withstands temperatures up to 550°C, this blanket is an essential addition to every Kenyan kitchen, office pantry, and staff canteen.
Fire blankets are particularly effective against cooking oil and fat fires (Class F) that water and most extinguishers should never be used on. In the event of a pan fire, simply pull the tapes to release the blanket from its container, hold it in front of you as a heat shield, and gently place it over the burning pan to cut off the oxygen supply. The fire will extinguish within seconds.
Beyond kitchen fires, this blanket can be used to wrap around a person whose clothing has caught fire, providing an immediate response that can prevent severe burn injuries. It also works effectively on small Class A and B fires on workbenches, desks, or floor surfaces.
The blanket is supplied in a wall-mounted quick-release PVC container with clear pictorial instructions printed on the front. Pull-tape deployment allows rapid access in an emergency — even by someone with no fire training. The container can be mounted at eye level in the kitchen, next to doorways, or near cooking equipment.
Lance Security supplies fire blankets to restaurants, hotels, school kitchens, industrial canteens, and homes across Kenya. They are often required alongside fire extinguishers to satisfy fire safety inspections. Our competitive pricing and bulk discounts make it easy to equip all your properties.
