The Garrett PD 6500i Walk-Through Metal Detector is the gold standard in security screening technology, used at airports, government buildings, courthouses, stadiums, and high-profile events worldwide — and increasingly across Kenya. With 33 detection zones and precise pinpoint technology, this detector identifies the exact location of metallic objects on a person's body, dramatically speeding up the screening process.

The PD 6500i features Garrett's proprietary Broadband Detection Technology, capable of detecting both ferrous and non-ferrous metals including weapons, phones, and small metallic contraband. Sensitivity is adjustable across 200 levels for each of the 33 zones independently, allowing fine-tuning to reduce false alarms from belt buckles, shoes, or medical implants while maintaining detection of genuine threats.

The intuitive LCD display provides real-time traffic counting, alarm statistics, and zone indicators. Twenty pre-programmed security settings range from airport-level sensitivity to basic event screening. Password protection prevents unauthorised changes to sensitivity levels. The detector supports USB data logging and can be networked with other Garrett units for centralised management.

Built for heavy-duty use, the PD 6500i processes up to 40 people per minute in a standard throughput configuration.
