Description

This PIR Motion Sensor is an essential component of any wired alarm system, detecting human movement through changes in infrared radiation. Engineered by Paradox, it provides reliable intrusion detection for indoor spaces including living rooms, offices, corridors, and storerooms throughout Kenya.

The sensor features a wide 110-degree detection angle covering up to 12 metres, ensuring comprehensive room coverage from a single mounting point. Advanced digital signal processing minimises false alarms caused by insects, air drafts, and temperature fluctuations — a common frustration with cheaper alternatives in Kenya's tropical climate.

Pet immunity technology allows the sensor to ignore animals weighing up to 18 kg, meaning your dog or cat won't trigger nuisance alarms. The dual-element pyroelectric sensor and multi-zone Fresnel lens work together to accurately distinguish between genuine intrusions and background thermal noise.

Installation is straightforward with a standard wall-mount bracket (included) that allows both flat-wall and corner mounting. The sensor connects to any alarm panel via a 4-wire connection (normally closed tamper and alarm contacts). Operating on 9-16V DC, it draws minimal current to preserve your backup battery life during power outages.

Lance Security supplies PIR sensors in bulk to alarm installers and security companies across Kenya at competitive trade prices. For homeowners, we include this sensor as part of our alarm installation packages. Quantity discounts available on orders of 20 units or more.
