The Armoured Fire Rated Cable 4-Core 2.5mm² combines fire resistance with mechanical protection, making it the ideal choice for power circuits that run underground, through car parks, along external walls, or in any location where the cable may be exposed to physical damage. Sold per metre, you purchase exactly the length your project requires.

This cable features four 2.5mm² stranded copper conductors with mica tape and XLPE insulation for fire circuit integrity. A galvanised steel wire armour (SWA) layer provides robust mechanical protection against impact, crushing, and rodent attack — a significant concern in underground ducts and ceiling voids in Kenya. The overall LSZH sheath ensures low smoke emission during a fire.

The fire-resistance rating of 2 hours at 950°C combined with the SWA armour makes this cable suitable for the most demanding installations: fire pump power supplies, generator changeover circuits, lift motor feeds, smoke extract fan supplies, and fire shutter power in high-rise buildings, hospitals, and shopping malls.

The 4-core configuration (brown, black, grey, green/yellow) supports 3-phase plus earth or single-phase neutral-earth-switch applications. The cable can be direct-buried, laid in ducts, installed on cable ladder, or surface-cleated. SWA glands (sold separately) provide proper armour termination and earthing at distribution boards and equipment.
